This training provides participants with key information for understanding the legal framework defined by the AI Act and focuses on the scope of application of this legal act, as well as the demonstration of applying AI systems in a real-world environment. The scope of application is crucial in order to demystify the Act so that business entities can understand and know whether a legal regulation applies to them or if their contractual obligations will be changed (by the user).

Additionally, our experts will explain and demonstrate, through practical examples, the process of aligning with the requirements of the internationally recognised standard ISO/IEC 42001, which can help ensure compliance with the AL Act’s requirements. It is important to note that certification in accordance with the aforementioned standard is not a requirement for compliance with the AI Act, but it can serve as a good foundation for risk assessment and meeting certain requirements of the Act.

In the second part of the training, we will demonstrate an AI portal, which can respond to queries by also using data from your own documents, all within the secure environment of the Azure cloud. Participants will get familiarised with the Azure OpenAI Service through hands-on exercises and will learn the following: the fundamentals and architecture of RAG systems, the fundamentals of search types, the fundamentals of working with the Azure OpenAI Service, how to safely store and access documents in an Azure environment, how to create an assistant that understands and responds to queries based on document content, how to apply techniques such as “prompt engineering” to optimise responses.
